Last time it was none of Sp*rs side could get in ours and they might win the league!

Re: Collymore reckons none of theirs would e in our team
If I could have 3 of their players I'd take DeGea , Mata & Martial.
In days gone by you'd probably COVET 8 or 9 of their team.

He's about 12 years past his peak.

Takashi Miike 1:29 Sun Mar 13

he is overrated

I know I'm in the minority, but I've always thought Rooney was overrated

Well he's a bit old now, but linekar is one of the best goalscorers I've ever seen.

I like sakho, but if anyone seriously thinks he's as good as linekar ever was, the claret and blue specs are a bit too powerful.

Obviously I don't think Sakho is better than Lineker was, or Ronney for that matter. My point was Rooney is not the player he once was and at this stage I'd honestly rather have Sakho.

I would take De Gea, Smalling, Martial and Schweinstieger (at his best). Rooney at his best is better than Sakho, but he hasn't looked the part in a while.

I couldn't think of Manure's RB

JoB did cross my mind
Massively underrated

There is in most threads. That is what makes WHO entertaining :-)

Antonio is not a right back.

Wing back maybe but not a right back.

... Waits for Bilic to name him as right back today...

There's a serious amount of delusion in this thread. Probably beyond Newcastle and Tottenham levels and into Liverpool standards.

I'm sure the utter cock collymore just meant as footballers without bringing their love for their current clubs into it.

I'm sure if you asked man utd fans the same question, they would only consider a handful of our players.

Marston Hammer 11:40 Sun Mar 13
Re: Collymore reckons none of theirs would e in our team
We can agree on that at least ;-)

Collymore's article talks about a combined xi which is a much better discussion as it takes most of the emotion out and can compare players on ability only.

Yes it is pointless

Payet and Lineker in the same team would be unfair :)

Marston Hammer 11:37 Sun Mar 13
Re: Collymore reckons none of theirs would e in our team
In these hypothetical discussions it's assumed that both players would want to swap, otherwise it's an entirely pointless discussion (which it may well be anyway)

If I were to start a thread saying which barca players would you swap for ours it would be pretty boring if every reply said 'well, I wouldn't swap Messi for noble because he wouldn't come here and noble loves west ham'

Hence the Antonio Ronaldo comparison.

I wouldn't have Rashford because he's not as good as Antinio, who offers vastly more as a player.

I'd take De Gea though because as nice as Adrian is, De Gea is one of the top three keepers in the world.
